ISDT /5 EXHAUST

The ISDT is the oldest ‘off road’ motorcycle event on the FIM calendar (now called the ISDE).

Usually referred to as the ‘Olympics of Motorcycling’, BMW’s involvement in the ISDT dates back to the infancy of the marquee as an independent motorcycle manufacturer. The works factory twins had a two into one exhaust with a higher location on the bike to afford on the capability of crossing water hazards and avoiding other damage to the system in rough terrain. This was first introduced on the 1951 R68.
